Elka's Fall Outfit

You know how sometimes you get tired of following patterns and instructions, you sit down and the creativity just pours out of you and you start making things that weren't even on your to do list?
Well it happened to me yesterday night.
As I set down for my usual hour of doing what I want - which was suppose to be knitting one of the Christmas presents, I looked at my Elka, who was sitting in a usual pose on my desk, and thought that she looks awfully undressed. Next thing I know, I am snapping fabric, sewing, knitting, messing up, fixing - I took no measurements, because I was afraid that the creative note will fade and I won't be able to finish. As a result we got Elka all ready to go outside and enjoy the cold and sunny weather. Check this out...

BEFORE she was like a little monkey - funny little El:

NOW she is a little lady, with her own fashion. I give you Elka's Fall/Winter fashion statement:

Elka + Pinky

HaHa! I finished my funny little kitty named Pinky! She is so adorable, no? I worked all day, but when I got home, I couldn't resist to finish this silly one! And then sure enough we had to have a little photo shoot! Check this out!

Saying HELLO to everyone!

Day dreaming! :)))

And of course Elka loved her little new friend! Aren't they both adorable! I can't believe how raw materials can turn into something with such character. I mean this is me, this is what is somewhere there inside and it just pours into these materials and creates this...

Also when I got home I found this in my mailbox. These are so nice! I bought them at this Etsy store. This wonderful girl makes them with her own hands. I think they are so pretty AND hand made for such afordable price!

In addition I got this extra! Isn't that nice!? Go check her store and blog out!

Tea and Strawberries

Today was a long day of work and the first day of online school. I still managed to have good tea time with my friendy and Elka and work a bit on my cushion finally!

Saturday

Today was a bit difficult for me. Although it was my day off and I got to do everything I have been craving to do for the whole week, the mood was heavy. Oh well, this happens as well. On the good stuff, I did not wake up early but still made strawberries with whip cream and yellow cake for breakfast (more like lunch...)

And Elka finally got her hair and a dress. Isn't she a doll? ;)

I also got one of my inspiration books on mail. Already picked out some lovely projects too!

Then in the evening I took Elka to show to my mom. We drank coffee shakes on her porch and talked about childhoods and about what it is like to give birth. All and all it was a good day! I should learn how to not give up to my moods that much!

Coconut M&Ms and a weird movie

So yesterday I was working on my bathroom rug (will post the pattern soon) and Elka peaked out and played around a bit, I could not resist to take pics!

She really can't wait to get her hair!

I came home form work and guess what was in my mail box?..
Elka was happy, but she will have to wait till tomorrow...

We had Partabella caps stuffed with chiken, noodles, and esparagus for dinner.

Before comming home I stopped by a grocery store to buy some yummies for tomorrow's brekfast (I want to start waking up earlier...) I bought these maple cookies - they are relatively expensive and gormey - I love this kind of stuff with my Russian tea! These in particular attracted me with their box. They taste good as well!

Well, I am off to watch The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and eat coconut M&M's.
