Christmas - Outside

Snow - untouched, white, wiled. There was so much of it that some trees got completely buried in it and it covered all of our windows to the very top! It is still beautiful and I miss it so much!

A Productive Day!

Oh, indeed it is a productive day today! The first one in many weeks when I got to make things I love!
So a final was written (doesn't even matter how I did, just as long as I am done!)

A yummy pot roast was made

A cover for my project journal was finished (it is knitted out of that roving I spun myself - it is so warm and soft, just perfect to lay on a lap and write or sketch in, and creative as will be the projects recorded there I hope!)

And another dolly was started - my favorite thing is to make toys, brings me so much joy! My kids are going to be spoiled!

Too bad my love wasn't here to share all that with me, he is still working and it is almost twelve at night! How crazy is that! Thank God it doesn't happen often!

I Am Tiered!

I am tiered and stressed out. This is how I start my post, because it fully explains what is going on in my life right now. School and work are eating my brain! I get a two day weekend and three tests next week - is that fair?

Four years ago today I have met my Evgeny. Isn't this amazing - I had no idea we would turn out the way we did, well I knew a couple of days from then, but not at that moment (hehe). You would think that following this statement there would be a long tale of how we spent our wonderful day, but nope, we were so tiered the best we could do is drink hot tea with condensed milk together (did you know it is the best thing ever - tea and condensed milk?..) and have half decent conversation... Well this is life for you - not everything is perfect. After I managed to knit a bit while finishing my tea...

Then had some avocado with crackers and I am off to bed.

P.S. I am dreaming of the day when I can do what I enjoy - photography (I need more light, by the time I get home, it is so dark... well you can see that I am not good in dealing with lighting problems...), crafts, and hanging out with my family... When is this going to happen?..

Second Fun Weekend!

This weekend was fabulous! This is a second fun weekend in a row! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy every day of my life, but this much needed time with my friends and family is sure appreciated!

So yesterday my husband and I went to our friends' house for dinner. My friend's husband cooked an amazingly delicious dinner that we all enjoyed! Well no surprise there, since he goes to Cardon Bleu - the school of cookery where Julia Child got her education as well! There were candles and tomato water in between meals, and nice nice conversations! This was quality time spent in good company with good food.

Today we went to church in the morning where afterwards we had more delicious food at their annual food festival! And after that I went to mom's house to help her cook dinner and plant some tulips in her garden.

And of course I could not miss the opportunity to get some pictures of her beautiful plants!

We had lots of fun, I finely got my craving for digging in some dirt satisfied a bit, had some tea with cinnamon and honey along with some sandwiches on the porch and took pictures of the best cat in the world! Oh and the dinner was delicious as always!

I don't want tomorrow to come, because it is going to be all studying for the two tests next week, and there are more to come and I am freaked out a bit! Oh, school, be over soon!

I am sure you all had an amazing weekend that I am going to read about on your blog soon! :)

Fire Warms Hearts

So about that bum/bon fire party that we attended two days ago - it was a perfect ending to a fun weekend. We had hot dogs and smores and lots of fun! Doesn't the color of the fire warm your heart? I so love to sit by one and enjoy the company of good old friends.

Oh how I wish I could write more, but I have no time or inspiration right now - I sure hope it will ease up soon!

My First Halloween Party

Yeh, I truly never have been to a Halloween party, never did I dress up in a costume either (not counting this one time we went trick or treating long time ago just to see what it's like...) We weren't going to go this time either, but we did and had fun. Since we don't yet have kids we went to a crazy adult party. I didn't have time to make a costume, so we bought one for me, and my husband made his own and did a great job at it in my opinion!
He was Jason and made his machete from styrofoam and it looked awesome!

All and all it is a bit crazier than what we usually do - we are not party people, but we had fun and enjoyed it! Now we have a minor headache and drink a lot of water.
We are not done yet, there is a bum fire to attend! This weekend is definitely full of such needed crazy fun that I have been lacking for quite some time now with school and all!
Happy Halloween, you all!

p.s. I apologize for the picture quality, I did not want to take my good camera with me...

Glorious Rain!

Today it rained, and it was a glorious thunder! We were honored to enjoy a whole week of rain which has been waking us up at night, and flooding during the day.

It felt very good to knit a worm and fuzzy hand spun wool, that I made before, into what is soon going to be a blanket, while listening to the thrumping of the rain.

Hope you enjoyed your day as well!

When It Rains, It Pours

Here in Vegas, when it rains - it pours. Only it pours for about ten minutes and then in another ten, everything drys out. Have to admit though, we had some fabulous weather today!

Tea With A Dino Out Of A Photo Lens...

I FINALLY got my lens cup! I have been waiting for 2 month! I wouldn't say that I am totally satisfied with the quality but there is nothing like feeling that rubber grip of a camera lens while drinking tea! Holding on to that lens bring happy memories and calms me down. I also got a cute dinosaur in a box and I named her blueberry, cause she is blue (very creative haha!) I immediately had some of my yummy tea from it and it was great! Can't wait for it to get cooler here so that I can drink more tea! You will not believe how many times I have complained on this weather in the past couple of month! Too bad my second half refuses to look for a better place to live! Well enjoy some pictures!

More On Wedding + Reception

We finally got our wedding and reception pictures from our photographer. Here is a little bit more of my happiness shared... Did I mentioned it was absolutely perfect! Yes, it was flawless, romantic, loving, amazing. And every day since has been a happy day together. Hard though, because school is draining me, but my husband is giving me strength to go on.
